Fixed fees quoted after a two-week diagnostic. No hourly billing, no hidden extras. Below are our standard packages and typical price ranges.
Our packages
Every engagement begins with the diagnostic phase described below. Once we understand your situation, we propose a fixed fee for the full project. The ranges shown here cover the majority of our engagements; very large or multi-site projects may fall outside them.
Diagnostic only
£3,500
Fixed fee, no VAT for eligible businesses
Two weeks of on-site analysis by a named consultant and analyst
Review of financial data, operational processes and team structure
Written report identifying the top three to five improvement opportunities with estimated financial impact
One 90-minute presentation to your leadership team
We want you to know exactly what you will pay before committing to a large project. Here is the sequence from first call to final invoice.
Initial call
A 30-minute phone or video call with one of our consultants. We ask about your business, what is going well, and where you feel stuck. No charge, no obligation. This call helps us decide whether we are the right fit for each other.
Diagnostic phase
If we both want to proceed, we schedule the two-week diagnostic. Our consultant and analyst spend time in your offices, interview key staff, and review your data. At the end you receive a written report with prioritised recommendations and estimated financial impact for each one.
Fixed-fee proposal
Based on the diagnostic findings, we prepare a proposal with a single fixed fee, a clear scope, a timeline and the KPIs we will track. You have two weeks to review it. If you decide not to go ahead, you keep the diagnostic report and owe nothing further.
Engagement and payment
Once you sign, we invoice 40 per cent up front and 60 per cent on completion. For engagements over £20,000 we can split the balance into two milestone payments. There are no hourly add-ons. If the project takes longer than planned because we underestimated the work, we absorb the extra cost.
Pricing questions we hear often
Start with the diagnostic. It costs £3,500 and gives you a clear picture of the issue plus a written recommendation. Many clients find the diagnostic alone is enough to act on. If the problem turns out to be larger than expected, we can scope a full engagement from there.
For clients within Greater Manchester, yes. For clients elsewhere in the UK, we include standard rail travel and, where needed, a modest accommodation allowance. We quote these costs explicitly in the proposal so there are no surprises. We do not charge for first-class tickets or luxury hotels.
Yes, and about a third of our clients do. A combined revenue-and-cost engagement typically runs 12 to 16 weeks and is priced between £22,000 and £38,000 depending on the complexity. We assign a lead consultant for each practice area so neither workstream gets diluted.
Growth Orbit Consulting is VAT-registered. All prices on this page are quoted exclusive of VAT. VAT at the prevailing rate (currently 20 per cent) is added to invoices. If your business is VAT-registered you can reclaim this as normal.
We track agreed KPIs throughout the engagement and share fortnightly progress reports, so problems surface early. If at the midpoint review we have not made meaningful progress against those KPIs, we will either adjust the approach at no extra cost or end the engagement and refund the outstanding balance. We have used this clause twice in eight years; in both cases we adjusted and the client was satisfied with the final outcome.
